Las Vegas, NV (November 1, 2005) – ROUSH Performance Engines announced it version of the FE series of engines backed by their 25 years of engine assembling experience.
The new Roush Performance Engines 451R FE offers car builders 455 horsepower and 525 foot pounds of torque. The package utilizes all new engine parts, including a Roush tuned Holley carburetor, dual plane intake, Edlebrock aluminum cylinder heads, Roush engraved aluminum valve covers with billet breather, all based on a Pond aluminum block. A dual quad version of the 451R FE engine is also available that offers 480 horsepower and 550 ft/lbs of torque.
Internally, the 451R FE features forged pistons; a nodular iron crankshaft, hydraulic flat tappet camshaft, and Harland Sharp shaft mount roller rockers. Also included is a MSD billet distributor with wires, Melling high volume oil pump, and a powder coated Canton road race style oil pan.
“We recognized that people wanted an engine from the FE series and to meet the demand we came up with an engine that will help command attention to any restored car,” said Todd Andrews, Roush Performance Engine Manager.
To finalize the package, Roush Performance dyno tests and black lights each engine while providing dyno documentation and a 2 year warranty.
