The SM01-8K446-RM ROUSHcharger kit was developed and designed with the intention of being installed in an OEM production scenario.  ROUSH designed this system to be certified as manufacturer of record with the United States D.O.T.  The ROUSHcharger kit we are developing for the 2005 Mustang is designed around an agressive price target and intented for aftermarket installation.

7. How can I get more HP from my supercharged ROUSH Mustang?

We have developed a pulley and air filter kit which can add 20HP to your exisiting power.  The part number for the pulley is R07050005 and the filter is R07060018.  Both components must be installed and purchased together in order to obtain the desired HP gain.  In addition, this modification WILL VOID the remainder of your ROUSH warranty on the engine.  Contact your local ROUSH dealer to order this exciting new product offering for your Mustang.

8. How many pounds of boost can the ROUSH Mustang ROUSHcharger produce?

In actuality, the Roots style of blower we used in our application can produce 15+ pounds of boost.  However, the base pressure in our superchargers is set at six (6) pounds, and the upgraded pulley mentioned above increases the boost to eight (8) pounds.  Our testing shows that at these levels engine durability and safety stays within normal limits and we DO NOT recommend any modifications other than those we offer.

Yes.  We sell this upgrade, with VIN verification that your vehicle has a ROUSH supercharger system installed on it.  Call the 1-800-59-ROUSH number, and ask about ordering the 380 upgrade in order to purchase this upgrade.

Some details about the upgrade process:

2) The new processor comes with instructions for a Ford dealership on how to swap the new processor for the old one.  The cost of the processor change is not included, but the cost to re-flash the PATS system (remember to bring all spare keys) is billable to ROUSH warranty.  The processor also comes with instructions for the service department regarding contactin our warranty department for PATS re-flash billing.

3) The upgrade is noted in our warranty records, and will not affect the ROUSH powertrain warranty in any way.

13. I am interested in purchasing a vehicle, the VIN is XXX and the car has YYY miles on it.  How much is this vehicle worth?

As the manufacturer, we are prohibited from quoting values on our vehicles.  We can suggest a general method for getting an estimate of the value:

1) Find book value for the base vehicle (Mustang, F-150, etc.) in it's current condition, compared to the original MSRP.

2) Find the MSRP of the ROUSH package on the vehicle (use the "Vehicles" section of the
store.roushperformance.com website to help you).

3) Depreciate the ROUSH package by the same percentage the base vehicle depreciated.

Add the book value of the base, and the approximated book value of the ROUSH package to get a starting point for the value of the vehicle.

The easiest way to recognize a true ROUSH vehicle is to look for it's serial number sticker.  Any vehicle assembled by ROUSH Performance will be serialized.  This sticker can be found by opening the passenger-side door and checking the door jamb.  However, accidents do happen, and stickers get lost.  See the question on how to see what package was installed on a vehicle to find out how to contact us to determine whether a given vehicle was ROUSH-produced or not.
