Mustang Rear End Axle Housing Cover, from ROUSH®, reinforces your 2005-2013 Mustang's rear end. This cover adds strength and styling to the rear end housing while helping prevent internal rear failures.
Under the tremendous forces of hard launches at the drag Stripe, rear end covers can distort and fail, and as a result create more damage. This Mustang Rear End Axle Housing Cover provides a high level of structural integrity to the rear end, thereby helping to prevent such failures.
The housing cover fits 8.8-inch axle housing and allows for bearing preload. The cover is made from T6 aluminum, which is used in many aircraft applications due to its high strength. The metal is CNC machine to ensure quality and precision. After machining, the part is then stress relieved to ensure stability of shape.
Each cover is hand deburred, inspected, and assembled for the best quality fit and finish. The ROUSH Mustang Rear End Axle Housing Cover features both a fill and drain port to make servicing easier and incorporates 2 load bolts with swivel "feet" for supporting the bearing caps. The cover also increases fluid capacity by approximately 1/2 pint and decreases operating temperature by an average of 15 degress Fahrenheit.
