ROUSH Propane F-250 & 350 Kit

Home > Propane >
Introduction
ROUSH Performance is pleased to announce the availability of the ROUSH Liquid Propane Injection (LPI) Conversion for 2009 - 2010 Ford F-250s and F-350s equipped with the 5.4L V8 engine.

The ROUSH LPI Conversion system can be ordered one of two ways: If you already own a truck that you'd like to convert, you can order the kit through an authorized dealer and have them install it. Or, if you want to buy a truck right from the factory with the kit already installed by ROUSH, we will help you find a dealer near you to place the order.

Driving an F-250 or F-350 equipped with the ROUSH LPI technology, you will immediately notice there is no loss in horsepower, torque, or towing capacity, as was the case with many propane conversions of the past. Older kits used to rely on vapor injection, but because the ROUSH technology leaves propane in the liquid state until injection, it's 30% more powerful than the older technology.

The F-250 / F-350 LPI Conversion also gives you the ability to save money on operating costs while being more environmentally conscious about your vehicle's emissions. Propane is much more environmentally friendly as compared to gasoline**, and reduces harmful emissions by significant amounts:

  • 18% less Greenhouse Gasses*
  • 20% less Nitrous Oxide
  • 60% less Carbon Monoxide
  • Fewer particulate emissions

And, because over 97% of the United States' propane supplies comes from refining and production done in North America, it helps to reduce our country's dependence on foreign oil. With over 12,500 public and private fueling stations open today, it's got a large and stable infrastructure in place that makes it cheaper and more readily available than E85.

* The greenhouse gas (GHG) calculations mentioned here were developed in a study commissioned by the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) and conducted by Energetics Incorporated. Using the Greenhouse Gases, Regulated Emissions and Energy Use in Transportation (GREET) model recognized by the U.S. Department of Energy, the study reviewed the full lifecycle accounting (on-site and upstream) of GHG emissions resulting from the use of propane and other fuels in various market sectors.

** Comparisons of nitrous oxide and carbon monoxide emissions are taken from studies conducted by the World LP Gas Association and the California Energy Commission in January 2003. Data on particulate emissions comes from studies by the Southwest Research Institute.
