2010 ROUSH® Road Crew Calendar
March 6-7 - "Florida Fun" Kickoff
(Homestead, Fla.)
Join us in cheering on Jack Roush Jr. and Billy Johnson in the Grand-Am Continental Tire
Sports Car Challenge race. We'll get a chance to park in the infield of Homestead-Miami
Speedway, tour the garage, meet the drivers, and take a lap around the racetrack. The
following day will be a cruise through Key Biscayne and up to Ft. Lauderdale for a lunch on
the intercoastal waterway.
March 20 - California Blackbird Airpark (Southern California)
We'll begin the day at the Cars & Coffee show in Irvine, then cruise up to Blackbird Airpark
to see the sights and have several great photo opportunities. RRC members will meet Mike
Machat, former official USAF Artist and first president of the American Society of Aviation
Artists as well as Doug Nelson, one of the first Blackbird "sled drivers" who is now museum
director. The Blackbird Airpark is an official annex of the Edwards Air Force Flight Test
Center and has on display an SR-71, A-12, an F-117 Stealth Fighter and the once ultra-secret
D-21 drone. Following a personal tour we'll head off to a lunch.
April 24-25 - "California Showtime" presented by About.com
Mustangs (Southern California)
The day will begin bright and early meeting at the Cars & Coffee show, then a cruise up
the highway to Burbank for an early lunch at Bob's Big Boy, a famous So-Cal drive-in. From
there, we'll participate in a private, VIP Tour on the backlot of Warner Brothers studio
(limited to 30 attendees). Thanks to About.com Mustangs for their support of this special
tour. On Sunday, join with ROUSH® in displaying your vehicle at the Fabulous Fords Forever
event at Knott's Berry Farm. This is the largest Ford-only show on the West Coast with several
hundred cars and thousands of spectators annually.
May 21-22 - Pocono Track & Tour (Pocono, Pa.)
Get a real feel for the performance of your ROUSH® Mustang around the road course of
Pocono Raceway. We'll participate in the Hooked on Driving school, so whether you are a novice
on the track or an experienced participant, there will be plenty of instruction and track
time. The following day we'll take a scenic cruise and enjoy a meal stop.
June 10 - ROUSH® Collection Open House (Livonia, Mich.)
The first of the two big events at the ROUSH® Museum. Show off your car in front of the
NASCAR crowd, and get a chance to meet Jack Roush and some of his Roush Fenway drivers.
June 17-20 - ROUSH Grand National Event (Steamboat Springs, Colo.)
For the inaugural ROUSH® Road Crew Grand National event we'll participate in the Rocky
Mountain Mustang Roundup in scenic Steamboat Springs. There you can do an autocross, cruise
the Rocky Mountains, show off your ride, and participate in several social events. We're also
planning some special RRC things for members only. This event sells out early, so if you want
to attend you should register within the next few weeks.
July 2-3 - Thunderhill Track & Tour (Willows, Calif.)
Tackle the twists and elevation changes of Thunderhill Raceway with the Hooked on Driving
school program. The following day we'll cruise through the twisty mountain roads and stop for
a lunch at one of the more unique restaurants in the area.
July 15-18 - MCA Grand National (Bellevue, Wash.)
Join fellow RRC members and other Mustang enthusiasts for several days of activities in the
Pacific Northwest. This will be one of the biggest events in the area, and you won't want to
miss out on the fun. There will be special RRC member events at the MCA Grand National
Show.
August 12 - ROUSH® Collection Open House (Livonia, Mich.)
The second, and normally larger, of the annual events at the ROUSH® Museum. Show off your
car in front of the NASCAR crowd, and get a chance to meet Jack Roush and some of his Roush
Fenway drivers.
August 20-21 - Woodward Dream Cruise (Detroit Area, Mich.)
We'll start off with tours of ROUSH® Performance and a special dinner for RRC members on
August 20. The following day join the fun of the largest cruise in the world as thousands of
cars and spectators line Woodward Avenue for the spectacle. RRC will have a special parking
area, and as a group we'll cruise the boulevard.
Again, remember that this is just the start of the 2010 ROUSH® Road Crew calendar. There
will be several other events added! This may be the first year for the club, but there will be
a lot of places to go and things to do.
ROUSH®
Club Name The vote for the new ROUSH club name is complete, and the results are in.
The winning name is the "ROUSH® Road Crew." Thank you to all those who participated!
Live Webcast
We had a very successful webcast to announce the ROUSH Club on Dec. 15th. A
lot of
positive questions and interested people in the new program. The level of enthusiasm is high, and it will be up
to us now to continue to build on the momentum that was generated.

About "The Club"
With more than 16,000 specialty vehicles on the roads of America, ROUSH® Performance feels the
time is right to create a new, in-house lifestyle club for the owners and fans of their products. Previously, this aspect was
managed by the ROUSH Owners and Enthusiasts Association (ROEA), an independent, volunteer-run organization.
The name of "The Club," as it will temporarily be referred to, will be voted upon during the month of January by the
members that join. The official, chosen name will be announced in early February, with the logo unveiled shortly
afterwards.
"We appreciate the efforts of the ROEA and thank them for their unwavering support and dedication. However, we came to
realize that running a club and all that it takes to put on events requires much more time and resources than the dedicated
volunteers of the ROEA are often able to provide. As we looked out into the future we saw an opportunity to create a new ROUSH
lifestyle club that can bring our fans across the country together to participate in a variety of local and regional
get-togethers as well as some national level events. The resources that we have internally offer us the ability to put
together a tremendous framework for a club that will be as high-performance as the ROUSH Mustangs that we put on the
street," said Joe Thompson, ROUSH Performance vice-president & general manager.
While there are still many details to be worked through, ROUSH anticipates an annual membership to cost $35. If they choose
to
accept, ROEA members will be granted a free year of membership with proof of current membership along with some personal
information such as name, address, and contact details.
Please stay tuned for updates. You can sign-up for our newsletter to receive updates on the Club via email.
"The goal of 'The Club' is to create a forum of fun, information, and events," Thompson explained. "There will
be a high level of interaction with ROUSH employees, some exciting activities each year, as well as an open forum for
information about the vehicles, parts, engines, and other things that make up the ROUSH Performance universe. This is a club
that will be for enthusiasts, by enthusiasts, and filled with enthusiastic people."
Membership sign-ups will begin in early January, 2010.
Effective December 31, 2009 the ROUSH Owners and Enthusiasts Association is not sponsored, endorsed or affiliated with ROUSH
Performance Products, Inc. or Jack Roush. |
