Get on Track - Three ROUSH Dates with Hooked on Driving in 2009

ROEAtrack9 The warm weather is coming and that means that spring, summer and the driving season are just around the bend! It’s time to start thinking about getting that car out of the garage and back onto the racetrack.

This year ROUSH® Performance will be hosting three dates with the Hooked on Driving program so owners in the West, Northeast and South will all be able to take their car on the track, get a real feel for what a high-performance Mustang (or any car for that matter) can do without the restrictions imposed on the street, as well as learn from experienced driving coaches on how to safely let those ponies run free.

The first event is June 19 at Pocono Raceway in the mountains of Pennsylvania. This take place just a couple of weeks following the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at the facility, so you can cheer on the Roush Fenway drivers knowing you will be tackling the same dreaded "Tunnel Turn" just a few days later.

June 26

will see a return to Thunderhill Raceway in Willows, Calif. This is a very technical track with lots of turns, elevation changes, and high-speed straights that will test your nerves and skills. Extremely fun, especially going through Turn 5 which is known as the "Cyclone" and in many ways is like a mini-version of the legendary "Corkscrew" at Laguna Seca.

New to the schedule is a Florida date. ROUSH® and Hooked on Driving will be at Sebring International Raceway on August 30. This is your opportunity to drive on one of the most famous racetracks in the world, and really get a feel for the speed and braking performance like no other.

RS3Launch-2-377x283 At all three of these events, you can on meet ROUSH® company representatives, see a variety of ROUSH® automobiles, and most importantly – have fun and learn how to maximize your ROUSH® with fellow enthusiasts in a safe and controlled environment.

Learn "the line," what an apex turn is, and gain a more in-depth appreciation for your cars true performance potential. The event groups drivers by experience and skill level and offers teaching sessions after each session on the racetrack.Session times will be broken down by experience levels so beginners don’t have to worry about making a mistake or getting in the way of those with more track time.
