ROUSH Insider: The 427R is (Mostly) Made in America

427RAmerican Flag377x250 With the most patriotic of holidays, the Fourth of July, on our doorstep, we tend to immerse ourselves in all things American during this time of the year. You remember the jingle from once upon a time… Feel free to sing with my: “Baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and the new 2010 ROUSH® 427R™ Mustang” (kinda rolls right off the tongue, doesn’t it?).

Of course, I’m liberties on that last part, but there is a good reason that the new Mustang fits into the true all-American theme.

Did you realize that the package content on the ROUSH® 427R™ - including both the standard components and all the options combined - calculates out to being a total of 86 percent “Made in America”?

Most of these components come from Michigan (a considerable amount, such as the body kit are produced in ROUSH® facilities), California, Ohio and Arizona. That puts a lot of Americans to work and allows them to put food on the picnic table this holiday weekend.

Jack Roush has tremendous respect for this country, and if you happen get an autograph notice how he adds a “USA” underneath his name. He takes great pride in the amount of American-produced parts go on his vehicles… even the Cooper Tires are made just down the road in Findlay, Ohio.

So as you fire up the 2010 ROUSH® 427R™ for a Fourth of July cruise, take pride that you are supporting the American workers who not only built your Mustang, but also most of the parts on it.
