August 13, 2009 Open House and Roush Fenway Autograph Session

DriverpictureAug The ROUSH® Automotive Collection is pleased to announce the third Open House event scheduled for the 2009 summer season will be held on Thursday, August 13 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m (Eastern). Activities planned for the Open House event include a Roush Fenway autograph session, car show with awards, engine build competition, drag race simulator, and WRIF activities.
 
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers Carl Edwards and Matt Kenseth along with NASCAR Nationwide Series driver Erik Darnell will be on hand to meet fans and sign autographs from 5:00 pm until 6:30 pm. Autograph session times and appearances may be subject to change. Please call Event Hotline for details at 734-779-7276. 

 A car show hosted by the ROUSH Owners and Enthusiasts Association will be held during the August Open House event. Participants have the opportunity to compete for trophies sponsored by Bill Brown Ford of Livonia that will include Best of Show, Best Interior, Best Motor, Best Custom, Best ROUSH®, Best Paint, ROEA Choice, Bill Brown’s Choice. Registration for the car show is free. Please Pre-Register. Applications for the car show are available on our home page, the Roush Collection Retail Store, or at WWW.GOROUSH.COM The Roush Collection Retail Store is located at 11851 Market Street Livonia, Michigan 48150 and store hours are Monday-Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. (Eastern).

Sign up for a tour of the ROUSH® Performance Facility, which is separate from the ROUSH® Collection Museum. Shuttles leave from the ROUSH® Collection to transport guests to the ROUSH® Performance Facility where they can see firsthand what goes into producing a 2010 ROUSH® Mustang. Tours will be held at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. (Eastern). Limited seating is available; to ensure your place on the shuttle please Pre-Register by calling 734-779-7290.

Two teams from the ROUSH® Engine Build Department will compete side-by-side to see who can execute a complete engine build-up, including a live test run, in the quickest time. Don’t miss all the excitement; come see if they can beat their 23 minute 56 second record! A WRIF DJ will be on site from 3 – 7 p.m. with an appearance of the 2009 Riff Rock Girl Winner. Stop by to meet them or to rock out on Guitar Hero or Rock Band for the chance to win cool WRIF prizes. A drag race simulator will also be available to test your reaction time. See if you have what it takes to be a drag racer.

A large selection of authentic race car parts are available for purchase during the open house. Treasure hunters will find race car body panels from the NASCAR Roush Fenway teams and race driven tires. Race driven tires are only twenty dollars each and are great to get autographed!

A series of door prize drawings are held throughout the evening. Door prize give-aways include a pair of Michigan International Speedway Grandstand seat tickets for the Michigan 400 on August 16. Also, a pair of Keystone NMCA Nationals V.I.P. passes to Milan Dragway August 27-29, 2009. Additional door prize give-aways include a variety of Roush Fenway memorabilia.
 
Guests can satisfy their appetite at the J.R.’s Garage Filling Station. Hamburgers, hot dogs and other cruise-in favorites are on the menu starting at 5:00 pm (Eastern).
 
Parking and shuttle service to the ROUSH® Automotive Collection will be available at Madonna University located on the northwest corner of Levan Rd. and Schoolcraft (I-96) in Livonia, Michigan. Shuttle service to the Roush Collection is provided from 3:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. (Eastern).

    I will not be able to attend the event at your Headquarter's I hope to be able meet your team's and yourself at the track sometime during the race weekend, I have won ticket's to the race's. Thank you
