Sebring International Raceway is one of the most famous tracks in the world, and you have an opportunity to drive it. On Sunday, August 30 the Hooked on Driving school will be host a “ROUSH® Day” at the track where you can see (and maybe get a ride in) the new 2010 427R™ Mustang, meet company representatives, and have a chance to win some prizes – some autographed by Jack Roush, Carl Edwards, Matt Kenseth and Erik Darnell.
This is a rare chance take your car and put those driving skills to test through the famous, high-speed "Turn 17," a long, bumpy, fast right-hander that can make or break the front straight speed. Check your nerves through the “Gurney Bend” and “Fangio Chicane,” named after two of the legendary race car drivers that have competed at this track that was formerly a WWII base used to train pilots to fly the B-17 bomber.
This is the last “ROUSH® Day” Hooked on Driving event of 2009 and we encourage any type of vehicle to participate. Hooked on Driving puts drivers of street cars from all manufacturers on a closed road course with a coach in the passenger seat to help guide them through the fundamentals of performance driving in a no-pressure atmosphere. The event groups drivers by experience and skill level and offers teaching sessions after each session on the racetrack. Session times will be broken down by experience levels so beginners don’t have to worry about making a mistake or getting in the way of those with more track time. The Hooked on Driving Program truly caters to drivers of all levels and can help anyone gain confidence and skills behind the wheel.
And the best part is that Hooked on Driving is offering a special $40 discount for ROUSH® enthusiasts (this is a one-time discount for new Hooked on Driving attendees only).
