The ROUSH® Road Crew, the new club for owners and fans of the ROUSH® lifestyle, held their first RRC Grand National event under the spectacular setting of Steamboat Springs, Colo. Members came from all points across the country to participate in the events with more than 30 people and cars coming from California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and New York, as well as several “local” Colorado members.
The event was held in conjunction with the Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup, a multi-day, multi-event show that is now in its 22nd year. The host organization pulled in nearly 500 cars this year, down slightly in count but not in enthusiasm.
ROUSH® Mustangs could be seen participating in the scenic cruise through the mountains and around the ski resorts, squealing tires on the challenging autocross course, a giant social for all attendees, and of course picking up several trophies from the car show and shine.
The Road Crew had a number of events devoted solely to the club members. This included a cruise up the mountains and across the Continental Divide to see the “Rabbit Ears” rock formation. The cruise ended at the Fish Creek Falls, a gorgeous 283-foot waterfall carved through the rock by melting snowpack.
On Saturday night RRC members took a cruise to the Saddleback Ranch for a wagon ride through an 8,000-acre ranch to a BBQ dinner of steak, pork tenderloin, chicken and salmon.
The ROUSH® Road Crew has events all across the country for anyone interested in life in the fast lane. Information and registration forms can be found online at www.ROUSHroadcrew.com.
