The ROUSH Performance™ Distractor Face seems to be making its mark on the Grand Am Continental Tire circuits since its debut almost a month ago, with the help of strong performances from Jack Roush Jr and Billy Johnson in the #61 ROUSH Performance Mustang. At Mid Ohio, the Distractor Face outline appeared for the first time on the #61 ROUSH Mustang, generating some inquisitive looks and questions from competitors and fans alike. With a first place finish there, it was a great way to kick off the campaign!
The Distractor Face then appeared at Road America, with the first fan submitted Distractor Face, which was that of Hani Abdullah. His face successfully distracted all but one competitor, helping Jack Roush Jr and Billy Johnson to a 2nd place finish. Watkins Glen was a strong showing by the #61 ROUSH Mustang, with Tim “Skippy” Miller do his best at distracting the competition during the race. “We had a winning car”, said Jack Roush Jr, “but due to a broken part, the car was only able to finish in 21st place.”
ROUSH Performance is hoping for even more Distractor faces to help the #61 ROUSH Performance team finish strong in the last 3 races of the season. You still have a chance to get your face on our rear for the Super Weekend at The Brickyard, Continental Tire Sports Car Festival Powered by Mazda, and Lime Rock Park. The Super Weekend at The Brickyard voting has started, with an ending date of July 23 for the race at Indianapolis, so don’t hesitate to submit your Distractor Face for your chance to win.
