Not long ago, the ROUSHcharged Raptor 575 from Indmar won the 2015 NMMA and BWI Innovation Award, and today, we’re excited to announce that the ROUSHcharged Raptor 575 was again selected for a high honor – being named one of the Boating Industry’s 2015 Top Products. The Raptor 575 was chosen based on its innovative achievement, impact on the industry, and its highly advanced design.
The Raptor 575 is the first and only emissions-certified catalyzed supercharged inboard available on the market, as well as the first to bring ROUSH Performance supercharging technology to the marine industry. It produces the most torque ever offered in a towboat, thus revolutionizing how boat builders will advance with new models from this point forward.
The Ford Raptor’s 6.2L V8 is the foundation of the ROUSHcharged Indmar Raptor 575 engine – the most powerful and advanced performance engine Indmar has ever offered. This ROUSHcharged powerplant is the same one found in the ROUSH Off-Road Raptor, so it goes without saying that the Raptor 575’s land counterpart is a strong and capable truck, built to be put to the test and driven hard.
After three years and over 6,000 hours of extreme lab, durability, and open water testing, the innovative minds at Indmar have delivered a breakthrough engine to change the world of towed watersports.
The ROUSHcharged 575 Raptor represents the first Ford F-Series Super Duty block used in the market, and Indmar collaborated with wake and ski experts to design towsport-specific components to optimize, protect, and adapt the engine to the rugged demands of watersports. The engine produces cleaner and more fuel-efficient power than comparable offerings in its segment, and comes backed by a five-year factory warranty.
Indmar also designed a superior non-traditional catalyst exhaust system to allow for the lowest possible emissions and is the only catalyzed supercharged engine in its segment, resulting in a safer, smoother, and quieter boating experience. High torque at low rpm ranges allows for faster plane time and increased loading power. A suite of monitoring systems and intelligent components constantly monitor the driver’s conditions and input to optimize the performance and efficiency of the engine while adding an extra layer of protection.
