ROUSH Teams with Mobsteel on Lincoln Continental Build

ROUSH Performance recently returned to Michigan from the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, where it showcased many of its important partnerships through special SEMA builds. One of those builds was a collaboration with Mobsteel, and was featured in ROUSH's booth at Ford Out Front.

Mobsteel’s 1968 Lincoln Continental is the ultimate expression of Detroit “Motor City” in its prime! Its menacing exterior appearance is backed up by a ton of attitude under the hood, thanks to the 727-horsepower ROUSH-supercharged 5.0L engine.

The team at Mobsteel has modified the Continental while being careful to preserve its original DNA, celebrating this great car the men and women of 1968 created. Located in the heart of the Motor City, Mobsteel is continuously inspired by the Big Three, its suppliers, and the people who make it happen.

Built at Mobsteel, in the heart of the “Motor City”, Detroit, Michigan, this vehicle features a wealth of premium features, but under the hood is the real surprise. Mobsteel’s 1968 Lincoln Continental, coined the “Hitter 5.0” features a ROUSH 727-horsepower Supercharged 5.0L Aluminator with 6-speed automatic transmission.

Mobsteel’s Hitter sits atop their very own Detroit Steel Wheel Co. wheels in the custom cutout pattern of “Lincoln Park”, named after a Detroit suburb, once again paying homage to the automotive industry. The exterior continues to impress, with the glass-like appearance of the Axalta Cromax Super Jet black basecoat, coupled with Axalta’s Premier clear coat. Accents of Burnt Bronze can be found on the wheels, calipers, grille, and custom badges.

The interior exemplifies true luxury through the use of sound deadening Dyanmat, and a complete custom interior and upholstery from Detroit Interior Works.

The build truly showcases the many talents of the Mobsteel crew and what the talented team can accomplish together. It is truly the sum of its parts.
