ROUSH Superchargers: F-150s Love Boost Too!

While ROUSH has long been known for bringing high-horsepower solutions to the Mustang world, in recent years, Ford trucks have become a huge part of the equation. If you’re a power loving F-150 owner, boy do we have the modification for you!

ROUSH Superchargers for 2015-2017 F-150’s are offered in two levels, much like their Mustang counterparts.

The Phase 1 ROUSHcharger is the same one found on the production ROUSH F-150 S/C. It pushes out an impressive 600 horsepower and 557 lb-ft of torque.

The supercharger kit is part of the TVS (or Twin Vortices Series) line of superchargers developed here at ROUSH – the same line that has been used and proven time and time again in ROUSH-built Mustangs and F-150s. It features Eaton’s cutting-edge TVS rotating assembly to deliver more power with better fuel economy in a smaller package.

Contrary to popular belief, the ROUSH R2300 TVS supercharger is a roots-type, positive displacement supercharger, which features twin four-lobe rotors twisted 160 degrees, compared to the original Eaton supercharger rotating assembly which featured three lobes twisted 60 degrees. Combine that fourth lobe and added twist with redesigned air inlet and outlet ports, and you get greatly-enhanced thermal efficiency, higher volumetric capacity, higher operating speeds, and smoother and more efficient air flow to the engine with improved noise and vibration characteristics. The ROUSH R2300 TVS supercharger provides instant throttle response and generates increased power throughout the entire power band – features that turbochargers just can’t match.

If 600 horsepower just isn’t quite enough, you can opt for the Phase 2 kit, producing 650 horsepower and 585 lb-ft of torque. The kit includes the ROUSH R2300 TVS supercharger, the 85mm supercharger pulley, a fuel charging assembly with ROUSH-designed upper and lower aluminum intake manifolds, twin 60mm throttle body and matching spaces, cold air induction system with 110mm MAD (washable/reusable open element air filter and air dam), high-flow fuel rail with 47lb injectors, a ROUSH Flash Voucher Card, and a high-efficiency intercooler system (with large full-face low temp radiator, oversized coolant degas bottle, high capacity air-to-water intercooler, and formed hoses with abrasion-resistant sleeves). Also included are all fasteners, wiring, brackets, hoses, and clamps required for installation.

The aforementioned ROUSH Flash Voucher card is to be calibrated using ROUSH Diagnostic Tool (RDT) software and pass-thru device. If you don’t have access to an approved device, you can send your PCM back to ROUSH to be flashed for a $100.00 fee.

Of course, if you decide to go with the Phase 1, you can always upgrade to Phase 2 at a later date with the ROUSH Upgrade Kit.
