The week of the Woodward Dream Cruise is always an eventful time of the year for us. That entire week is packed full of events for our ROUSH Road Crew members and ROUSH enthusiasts. From autocross, track days, cruise-ins and tours of the ROUSH facilities. Continue reading to see the action-packed week we all had!
Tuesday, August 17th - ROUSH Performance Facility Tours
We started the day off by showing the RRC members a behind-the-scenes look at how the current ROUSH production vehicles are assembled. Chris and Brian and Chris were gracious enough to carve out some time during their day to show us all around the assembly line.
Later in the day, we visited the Roush Design Center where all of our vehicle designs come to life. The design team put together an awesome display of recent vehicles programs they have worked on for our RRC members to view.
Wednesday, August 18th - Autocross
An autocross course was set up to let the RRC members and other automotive enthusiasts get some spirited driving time behind the wheel of their vehicles. Jack Roush Jr. and a couple of our engineers brought their vehicles to the autocross course as well!
Thursday, August 19th - Cruise to Hell, MI & Back
It's safe to say, we went to Hell and came back in one piece. Hell, Michigan that is! There is a scenic and technical loop of roadways in Hell, MI that our engineering team uses for calibration drivability evaluation testing. RRC members and other enthusiasts took this same loop and we all gathered at the Hell Saloon afterwards for some lunch.
After the cruise to Hell, MI, we attended the ROUSH Automotive Collection's Open House and Car Cruise.
Friday, August 20th - Waterford Hills Track Day
For those that didn't get enough driving time during the autocross event, some of the RRC members attended Waterford Hills for a track day. Meanwhile, other RRC members took some free time to explore the city of Detroit and get their vehicles cleaned up for the Woodward Dream Cruise car show!
Saturday, August 21st - Woodward Dream Cruise / Mustang Alley
Time to rise and shine! Our display was set up in Mustang Alley with a trio of awesome Mustangs and a new product that you haven't seen yet! RRC members lined their Mustangs on Mustang Alley with other Mustang enthusiasts.
