A storied history in powertrain development between ROUSH Performance and Ford Performance continues with a new state-of-the-art supercharger kit for the V8-powered 2018-2019 Mustang GT. Unleash your Mustang's full potential with this new Supercharger, boosting performance to a staggering 700 horsepower and 610 lb-ft of torque at 12psi with 91 octane fuel. The 2.65L Phase 1 Supercharger Kit is part of the TVS (Twin Vortices Series) line of superchargers, raising the bar for performance and reliability. Our TVS technology delivers more power and better fuel economy in a highly-engineered package, and is part of the same line that has been used and proven for years in ROUSH-built Ford Mustangs.
The ROUSH R2650 TVS supercharger is a roots-type positive displacement supercharger that features Eaton's new twin four-lobe rotors that are twisted 170-degrees. The fourth lobe and added helix angle (aka twist), when combined with newly-designed air inlet and outlet ports, provides a long list of benefits including: greatly enhanced thermal efficiency, higher volumetric capacity, higher operating speeds, a smoother, more efficient flow of air into the engine, and improved noise and vibration characteristics.
During development, our new R2650 supercharger has spent hundreds of hours atop our engine dyno to ensure its industry-leading performance, safety, and reliability. It has seen well over 17 million wide-open-throttle cycles, while consistently and safely pushing performance numbers of 700+ horsepower.
Unlike turbocharging, the ROUSH R2650 TVS supercharger provides instant throttle response and can generate increased power through the engine’s entire power band.
This kit fits both automatic and manual-equipped 2018-2019 Mustang GTs, and comes with all hardware for installation. It is warrantied when installed by a Ford dealer or an Automotive Service Excellence-certified technician.
I had this supercharger installed by my Ford Dealer almost 2 months ago. Soon after install I noticed that in any mode other than normal, the transmission does not shift properly into first while stopping. It waits until the last second, then practically slams into first, shaking the car and scaring the crap out of me. I called Roush, and while having a pleasant conversation, they indicated they were aware of the issue and were working on a programming update. Here it is 2 months later and no update yet. I would think it would have a higher priority and get rectified. I love the supercharger, but am confined to normal driving mode...... (Posted on 9/20/2018)
Car has a miss between 2nd and 3rd gear shifts. I ordered the car new with an automatic, installed by a Ford certified Roush dealer and after a year and 8 months it is still not fixed. I paid for performance I am not getting. Roush points the finger at Ford; Ford points the finger at Roush thus I am the one suffering. Problem still exists, very dissatisfied! (Posted on 9/11/2018)
The stock 2018 mustang with the 10 R80 trans works awesome stock! After installing the Roush supercharger 5 trips to the track later it's been a nightmare! The car stock was faster in the quarter mile and when you make telephone calls you get a big run around from person to person. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY very poor customer service ( in Canada these Superchargers are $14000 installed ) big waste of money buyer beware! (Posted on 9/9/2018)
I am very happy with this Supercharger, Lebanon Ford out of Ohio installed this on my 2018 Mustang GT.... this is a Eaton Supercharger built for Roush which is very reliable and has plenty of power. (Posted on 8/21/2018)
This thing is AWESOME! I bought the car new and had my Roush dealer install this kit and Roush's cat back and I have to say for a dealer stock car with a 6 year warranty option it cant be beat! I have this on an 18 GT premium with the A10 and level 1 performance pack. THINGS A BLAST!!! (Posted on 8/12/2018)
I had the kit installed by the Ford Dealer where I bought the GT 3 weeks ago. It performs very well, but needs a program modification. In normal driving mode, it performs perfectly, great fun with the power rush. However, in Sport mode and Track mode, the transmission shifts down to first too late and too abruptly. It shifts at about 1-2mph and with almost a clunk into first. I called tech support and they are aware of the issue, but need to send out a program revision. I would give 5 stars but for the programming glitch. Hopefully it is addressed soon! (Posted on 8/8/2018)
DO NOT BUY THIS KIT! They did not do any Research and Development and they put it off on the customer. Bought a new 2018 mustang gt and had this kit installed (BY ROUSH). The car has had check engine lights and goes into limp mode ever since i bought it NEW. And to top it off Roush has no clue how to fix it. (Posted on 7/25/2018)
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY !!!! Bought this kit preinstalled (BY ROUSH) on a NEW 2018 gt and have had nothing but issues (started after only 500miles). What tops it off is Roush has no clue how to fix this check engine light/limp mode issue. There is a Recall already for the fuel rails. Overall a step backwards from their last kit. All they needed to do was hold off a little longer to do more testing and quality control. (Posted on 7/20/2018)
