The all-new 2018-2019 Mustang 5.0L ROUSH V8 Cold Air Kit is more efficient air intake than the standard stock airbox. Cold air induction allows for latent potential in power and fuel efficiency that would otherwise be restricted, as well as providing reduced pressure drop. A custom tune is not required as this CAI system was engineered and tested specifically for this application, ensuring MAF signal performance matches factory settings. Included is an innovative airbox lid with see-through lens.

Our dry filter is proven to retain its shape under high airflow, and is composed of an inner and outer layer of wire mesh for durability and reliable support of filtration media. The filter requires no oiling and is easily washable for re-use.

Included in the kit is the air filter with clamp, injection-molded lower airbox/tray with installed EPDM foam hood seal, blow-molded clean air tubes, and all required mounting hardware. The kit utilizes all factory emissions and vacuum lines. Factory mounting locations and hardware are utilized to allow for quick and easy installation.

Definitely the best-looking on the market right now. IAT's do climb while at a stop but immediately reduce upon regular driving, average temps in my area are about 90 at highest and I've clocked an average IAT idling at a light maxing around 140 degrees. This is normal as there is no airflow and the engine bay and the ambient temps are hot. As soon as I move (create airflow) the IAT's drop faster than they climbed. I also did not have to remove or cut the engine cover to install it. I didn't feel like taking off my strut tower brace, so it worked out well enough. Now I can paint my engine cover lol. For me worth every penny I paid. Definitely no loss of performance or temperature issues like some other reviews. I run mine on road courses and drag strips as well as every day driving. While I have not done a back-to-back comparison of IAT's versus the stock airbox, I have not experienced high intake air temps. Sure the temperature goes up when sitting still but while moving the temperatures remain less than 10 degrees F over ambient. Since the Roush intake is closed and draws air from the same location as stock, I would not expect much difference in IAT.
While I did not notice any increase in power, I also didn't notice a decrease. I may do a back-to-back comparison of IAT's in the future. Definitely like deleting the sound symposer. (Posted on 8/18/2018)

Had high hopes, install wasn't terrible, however I agree with the other reviewer Chris stated, air inlet temps skyrocketed with this intake when at a stop light, car also felt like I lost lower end torque and throttle response, wife thought the car felt heavier, meaning it wasn't moving like it should when accelerating from a complete stop. Called Roush for help and they had no answers, only I should the my car to a dealership? I do not know why, my dealer would have told me to put the stock intake back in my car. I did end up returning the intake and put the stock intake back and the engine woke back up, maybe I needed a tune with the new CAI? If so, it should have stated that and I woulda went to do a dyno tune, but if ya say no tune required and it runs like doo doo, there will be an issue with the customer. (Posted on 8/11/2018)
Competitor's intake to Roush - will never look back! Review by Phil
I first opted for a competitors intake when I purchased my performance pack 2018 GT. With IATs sky high at stoplights and dirty MAF signal issues I decided to check out Roush. "Cold" air intake Review by Chris
This intake has no protection from engine heat. Intake air reached 200F sitting in a burger king drive through for 15min and was still climbing. Even when driving, intake air is 15+ degrees hotter than with the stock airbox. Sure there's probably more airflow than stock, hard to tell, but if the air temp is already way hotter it kind of negates the point of a "cold air intake". Triple checked to make sure it was placed correctly, hoping this was because of an installation error. Its not. See no way to fix this issue myself other than trying to insulate the box and pipes. Wouldn't have wasted 400$ if I had known. (Posted on 4/25/2018)
